An accelerator is a specific and integrated structure formed to support and develop innovative and knowledge-based entrepreneurship and to achieve the following goals:
• Helping to shorten the development process of a new business
• Helping to improve the quality of products and services, and the financial sustainability of new business
• Training startups accepted in parallel and in group form because startup groups are enter and exit at certain times (as opposed to the model of growth centers that operate one-by-one and in the form of cases)
• Participating in the intensive business development process for a limited period (maximum of six months)
• Having a business-based educational syllabus
• Providing coaching or mentoring and guidance and advice from experienced entrepreneurs and young entrepreneurs
In addition, (not all) accelerators are distinguished by the following features:
• The process of selection and highly competitive arbitration
• Providing initial capital
• Introducing entrepreneurs to possible investors
• Period of three-four months
• Joint workspace with help and price reduction for access to administrative infrastructure and services
